The ”keel fish” reinterpreted according to the DNA of RT surfboards: classic and tolerant, but with a resolutely sporty character.

A dynamic, responsive and agile model in its shorter versions; easy, accessible, and yet super maneuverable, in the most generous sizes.

Keel-Fish, with a twist

The wide planing area and the rounded and tolerant rails in the front part offer impeccable efficiency in small and medium conditions, with a sincere and accessible character.

A rocker line with a fairly aggressive curve, and the modern, full-length single concave bottom, provide agility, maneuverability and drive, making this model efficient and exciting in all types of conditions, from long point-breaks to intense and fast beach-breaks.

The volume distribution is optimized to allow the surfer to position himself in an intuitive and ideal way, to make the most of the qualities of speed and fluidity of this model.

Shaper’s breakdown

“ I designed this model drawing inspiration by the classic keel fish, tweaking and adding few specs trying to make it more playful and more versatile…

In the front half: more lift in the nose rocker; a specific rail shape, with a lot of roundness and a very high apex. In the rear half: a fairly pronounced rocker, deep concave bottom, thin and sharp rails.

The distribution of the volume is studied to allow the surfer to instinctively find the ideal position, taking advantage of the drive generated by the ‘modern keel’ type fins..”

More tech

With a fairly wide nose, the outline draws a fluid line, without bumps or wings, ending with a wide and reasonably deep swallow tail.

The bottom features a full-length single concave, with a slight double concave between the side fins.
The rocker is quite straight on the front part, but much more accentuated on the back third of the board.

The volume is generous in the center and on the front of the board, with the tail end quite thin, to offer control and precision at high speed.
