The Wand is part of a new generation of shapes, developed from a specific volume distribution, to allow the surfer to instinctively find the best possible positioning on the board.

Suitable for surfers of all styles and levels, this model excels in small and medium conditions, helping you to raise your game and make the most of the conditions.

Performance
by design

Compared to a normal board, the central part of the board is rather thin under the front foot and thick under the back foot; the rails follow an opposite pattern: rather full under the front foot, thin and sharp under the back foot.

This distribution of volume, which also ensures a lot of sincerity, allows the surfer to place himself naturally, instinctively, in a rearward position, ideal for drawing aggressive and tight lines.

The rocker and bottom lines, designed to ideally match these characteristics, make riding the board more efficient than ever.

Shaper’s breakdown

“This model is the result of a different approach in the design process. Usually, when developing a shape, I start by defining a rocker curve and its appropriate bottom design, then grafting in all the other elements.

I have recently adopted a different method, which consists of taking the distribution of volume as the fundamental element, drawing the other characteristics around it.

For this model I designed a volume distribution aimed at facilitating the positioning of the feet in a rearward position, to promote aggressive and committed driving, ideal for small and medium conditions.

All the details of the shape having been developed in an “organic” way, handling is more intuitive and accessible and efficiency is better than ever!”

Depending on the sizes chosen, it is possible to make the board more or less versatile or more or less typical for specific conditions: the short and wide versions are suitable for small and soft waves; the longer and narrower versions allow you to effectively face more consistent and more powerful waves…

The measurements presented here are to be used as guidelines to allow you to understand the proportions of the model…
These sizes are proven and popular among surfers, but it is possible (and we recommend) to adapt them to your body frame, level and experience, to meet your specific needs.

The outline draws a fluid and balanced line, with the wide point slightly further back than other similar models in our range.

The bottom features a moderate single concave throughout the whole length, with a slight double concave between the side fins.

The rocker has a moderate and progressive curve, to ensure good natural speed and lots of versatility.

The volume is distributed in a peculiar way, “crossed” between the center and the rails, to allow the surfer to naturally position his feet in the best positioning.
