The result of a long development that brought us to rethink, modernize and optimize the lines of a big wave board! Here is a big gun with an innovative design, delivering extraordinary efficiency.

Excellent in wave entry, able to hold on the steepest sections and yet maneuverable enough to be able to draw beautiful lines on open faces.

Optimized to the last detail

Take-off efficiency, ability to engage in the wave face, hold, confidence, maneuverability…

All the key aspects of the efficiency of a board intended to face big waves, have been analyzed and optimized without shortcuts.

The result is a shape quite unconventional , with the maximum width much further back than normal and a narrow, aerodynamic nose, which allows you to cut through the apparent wind and dive and hold into the wave face with more confidence.

The generous distribution of volumes, and a tail with more area, ensures more efficient driving and much more versatility and ease of use than that of a traditional “big wave gun”.

Shaper’s breakdown

“On a summer day we were sitting with Antonin de Soultrait, talking about big waves and big boards for the following winter, thinking about a shape that would make him more comfortable in extreme conditions…

A board to master the steepest drops, yet maneuverable enough to be able to draw nice lines on the more open sections.

Eventually I came up with this design, which turned out to be extremely effective, with very specific characteristics: a narrow nose, the wide point moved further back, an increased tail area, a lot of thickness, but a step-deck to reduce the volume of the rails; all tied together by a moderate and progressive rocker line.”

More tech

The outline is typically fluid and sleek, but the wide point moved back brings more curve into the rear half.

The bottom has a full-length V, slight in the center of the board (with a touch of double concave), becoming more and more pronounced towards the ends.

The rocker is progressive and moderate, with enough curve to ensure sincerity and confidence.

The volume is rather evenly distributed, with more thickness than usual in the rear part.
