Gatien Delahaye

After spending most of the year all over the globe chasing points, Gatien Delahaye had 3 weeks hope to regroup, train, test boards and enjoy surfing above all. Local filmaker Hypolite Champion didn’t miss the opportunity to follow Gatien and record his antics and local flair!

Gatien Dalahaye is ‘’Inbound’’…

Gatien, who is tall and light, asks for fairly narrow and thick boards. Some surfers like to change the measurements for their different boards, but for Gatien I use a different recipe: I keep very similar overall measurements and same rail shape, and make the difference changing the models and tail designs…

The boards featured in the video are mostly the ones from this batch…

Right to left:
Witch 6’0” x 18.50” x 2.50” SQ tail
Icon 6’0” x 18.75” x 2.50” R tail
Kingpin 6’1” x 18.70” x 2.50” SQ tail

A master aerialist for sure, Gatien is nonetheless a complete package, comfortable in solid conditions as well!

For his Hawaiian quiver I tried to come up with some friendly shapes to make it fun to navigate through heavy waters…
2x Icon step-up 6’2” x 18.50” x 2.50”
2x V-max 6’6” x 18.50” x 2.65”
1x V-max 7’0” x 18.75” x 2.75”
Clean lines, round tails, timeless stylish black rails…
Sobriety mandatory!
